I understand how planning a wedding can occasionally be stressful. So in the hope of easing the pressure and any concerns you may have, I've compiled a list of answers to the most frequent questions I revieve from clients. If you can't find your question then simply get in touch.
HOW TO MAKE A BOOKING?
Simply fill out the contact form with your details and if I'm available I will email across a brochure with details on pricing. If you would like to proceed with making a booking I will simply take a few details from you before sending over my details for the booking fee which is £300. You will also be required to sign a contract in order to secure your booking.
ARE YOUR PRICES ALL INCLUSIVE?
Yes, I believe in 100% transparency with no hidden or surprise costs. The only additional costs which may apply will be for wedding shoots outside of Norfolk and Suffolk.
CAN WE MEET WITH YOU BEFORE COMITTING TO BOOK?
Absolutely! If you like what you see then get in touch and we can arrange a time to meet or have a chat over Zoom. This will give us the chance to get to know each other, disuss your plans and any concerns. It's then entirely up to you if you wish to proceed with a booking (no pressure).
WHEN WILL YOU REQUIRE FULL PAYMENT?
The remaining balance of your booking will need to be settled no later than 28 days prior to your wedding date.
DO YOU FILM ALONE?
This depends on availability but on most occasions I am accompanied by a second videographer and will be confirmed in advance prior to your wedding date.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, I am fully covered by public liability insurance in the unlikely event of an accident. Thankfully (touch wood) I've never had to use it.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE ILL?
If in the unlikely and sudden event that I'm unable to film your wedding due to sickness, arrangements will be made for a replacement to film your wedding.
DO WE NEED PERMISSION FOR YOU TO FILM?
Thankfully I rarely have any issues in regards to restrictive filming. However, if you're having a church ceremony I always encourage clients to discuss filming with those conducting their service before committing to book. This is to avoid any confusion or disappointment on the day.
DO YOU RECORD SOUND?
Absolutely! We'll record the sound for both your ceremony and speeches. If you're happy for us to do so, we'll attach a tiny mic on the groom which will record both your vows. During your speeches we'll simply place a small recording device on the table.
DO YOU REQUIRE A MEAL?
This is not necessary as I always bring food on the day. However, if you wish to provide a meal it would of course be greatly appreciated but please don't feel that you have to.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS? 🌧☔️
If you are a little worried about the possibility of rain on your wedding day then please don't be. I've always found that couples just embrace whatever the weather brings. The bride and groom are often so distracted by the event that they barely pay any attention to what the skies are doing and besides that, some of my best shots have been outside in the rain. So as long as you have plenty of brollies on standby, don't panic if the weatherman mentions the dreaded "R" word.
HOW LONG BEOFRE OUR FILM IS FINSIHED?
This will vary between 2 - 6 months particularly during peak season months. In most cases it won't be as long as 6 months, plus it will be something special to look forward to during the post-wedding period.
WHAT IS THE LONGEST FILM TIME WE CAN HAVE?
I like to spend on average 2 weeks with each film in post-production and to ensure my time is focused on the quality of your film, I prefer to limit my film times to 30 minutes. My philosophy is “less is more”.
DO YOU CHOOSE THE MUSIC FOR OUR FILM?
Unfortunately, due to copyright restrictions I am unable to use mainstream music in your film. However, I do have access to a wide range of 'copyright free' music and I will only ever use songs that best reflect you on your wedding day. If you hear a song you like from my film collection, make a note and let me know.
HOW DO WE RECIEVE OUR FILM?
Your film will arrive by post and come ready to watch on a USB memory stick (HD). You'll be able to play this on the majority of TV and computer devices.
CAN WE MAKE COPIES?
Absolutely! There are no restrictions applied to the USB memory stick so you can make unlimited copies for family and friends.
